NIFS Funding
NIFS Funding（NIFS）is launched by the government to encourage enterprises to promote high-end, smart and sustainable manufacturing activities in Hong Kong. By introducing advanced technology and automated production, the competitiveness of the local manufacturing industry will be enhanced, and Hong Kong will move towards modern industrialization.
Funding Amount and Eligibility
The New Industrialization Funding Scheme provides eligible enterprises with a maximum funding limit of one-third of the total approved project expenditure or HK$15 million (whichever is lower).
Each company can carry out or accumulate up to three projects at the same time, with a total funding amount not exceeding HK$45 million. Applicants must be registered in Hong Kong and carry out productive high-end manufacturing businesses locally, such as automated production, smart manufacturing or green industrial transformation.
Industries covered by the funding
This program supports multiple industries to achieve automation upgrades and technological transformation, especially providing strong support for the following but not limited to the following areas
Food Manufacturing
Covering process improvements from raw material processing to packaging technology, helping to improve food safety, quality stability and production efficiency
Textiles and Clothing
Including intelligent fabric applications, automated cutting and sewing equipment, etc., to promote the upgrading of traditional crafts to high value-added direction
Construction Materials
Support the development of new building materials or optimize production processes, including environmentally friendly materials, automated equipment and structural parts manufacturing, etc.
Medical Technology
Covering the application of technology in related equipment, production facilities or medical supplies manufacturing to improve production capacity, quality and safety standards

Purchase relevant production equipment, sensors and control systems to improve intelligent production efficiency
Technical Consultant
Hire professional consultants to plan technology applications and strengthen the technical feasibility of the project
Installation and commissioning
Machine installation, testing and adjustment to ensure smooth operation, connection of the entire equipment
Testing and staff training
Improve the team's ability to operate and maintain the new system to ensure long-term operational stability
Design of new production line
Design intelligent production line layout to improve manufacturing flexibility and space efficiency
Patent registration
Related intellectual property registration and fees to protect business achievements and enhance competitive advantages
